Sinelec attended, as a partner, the closing conference of the Connected Car & Mobility 2022 Observatory held on May 27th at the Bovisa campus of the Politecnico di Milano, where the University revealed the results of 2022 research: The road to a new economy.
The Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano offer spaces for discussion and collaboration to promote digital innovation as an essential driver for the development of the country system. Giovanni Cartei, Head of Operations at Sinelec, spoke at the closing panel discussion dedicated to the evolution of V2X technologies and opportunities for the creation of the new mobility paradigm: highly technological, connected, sustainable and above all safe.
This was his comment: “Digitization of the existing infrastructure plays a key role in the development of new V2X services, it is essential in the vehicle-infrastructure connection. In order to support the development of connectivity and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and as well as to offer increasingly advanced services that have a real impact on road safety, it is necessary to have a high-reliability, low-latency data network available.” “Focusing on the state of the art,” concluded Eng. Cartei, “Sinelec, as technological arm of the ASTM Group, is involved in an important project that consists in the construction of a new Smart Road on the A4 Turin-Milan. It starts with the “pilot project” of about 30 km, between the Milano Ghisolfa barrier and the Novara Est Junction.”
