POLIMI’s “Connected Car & Mobility” Observatory: SINELEC at V2X & Smart Road Roundtable

Smart Road, the future of V2X and new projects on the national territory are some of the topics addressed by Eng. Simone Conso, Head of Connected Mobility at SINELEC, in the workshop “V2X technologies, ADAS & autonomous driving,” part of the Connected Car & Mobility 2024 Observatory of the Politecnico di Milano, of which Sinelec is a partner for the fifth consecutive year.

Simone Conso, among the speakers in the event’s panel discussion, described the technological peculiarities put in place to support the implementation of Anas’ Smart Road, one of the most innovative road digitization projects at the European level, on the A90 (the Grande Raccordo Anulare) and the A91 (Rome-Fiumicino).

In addition, Conso described other infrastructure digitization projects led by Sinelec in the country, including the initiative for the modernization, technological innovation and ecological transition of the A4 Turin-Milan, as well as the implementation of Smart Road systems on the A24 Rome-L’Aquila and A25 Turin-Pescara.

V2X is an ever-evolving technology that will have an increasing impact on the daily lives of road users,” said Eng. Conso. “The projects that Sinelec is pursuing represent an important contribution to the development of this technology to make our roads ever more safe, efficient and sustainable.”
